He married Elizabeth O'Connor. (Elizabeth O'Connor is #2019.) Elizabeth was born 1781.⁽⁶⁴⁾ Elizabeth died 1863 at 82 years of age.⁽⁶⁵⁾

Joseph Chaney and Elizabeth O'Connor had the following child:

Mary Ann² Chaney (#2016) was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States March 30, 1805.⁽⁶⁶⁾ Mary died 1864 in Mt Zion Cemetary, Bladensburg, Ohio, at 59 years of age.⁽⁶⁷⁾ She married Jesse Ashcraft in Knox County, Ohio, United States, September 16, 1824.⁽⁶⁸⁾ (Jesse Ashcraft is #2017.) Jesse died July 31, 1871 in Mt Zion Cemetary, Bladensburg, Ohio.⁽⁶⁹⁾
