He married Mary F. Daniel AFT 1867. (Mary F. Daniel is #1543.) Mary was born 1852. Mary was the daughter of John R. Daniel and Lucy Walters.

George F. Chaney and Mary F. Daniel had the following children:

2 i. Fannie L.² Chaney (#1662) was born August 8, 1877.

3 ii. Alex Cary Chaney (#1663) was born December 22, 1890. Alex died April 10, 1959 at 68 years of age.⁽⁵⁴⁾ He married Sallie Parsons. (Sallie Parsons is #1664.)
