He married Lillian Mae Chaney in Eastland County, Texas, United States, October 5, 1902. (Lillian Mae Chaney is #358.) Lilly was born in Arkansas, United States January 18, 1882. Lilly was the daughter of Christopher Columbus Chaney and Mary Francis Felton. Lilly died 1970 at 88 years of age.

Thomas L. Stephens and Lillian Mae Chaney had the following children:

2 i. Truman Thomas² Stephens (#512) was born July 29, 1903. He married Margaret Early. (Margaret Early is #1727.)

3 ii. Fay Ray Stephens (#513) was born CA Feb 1905. Short died 1931 at 26 years of age.⁽⁶⁵⁶⁾

4 iii. Mary Blanche Stephens (#514) was born August 1909. She married Alfredo Leal AFT 1924. (Alfredo Leal is #517.) (See Alfredo Leal for the continuation of this line.)
